Here are some of my favorite DIY gifts, whether you want to make something in large batches to give out to friends, teachers, & neighbors, or you want to create a special curated gift bundle!
Self Care/Personal Products
Sugar scrub
A great DIY gift that is easy to make and convenient to make in bulk. Perfect to have a little something to give to neighbors, teachers, friends, and anyone you’d like to spread holiday cheer to!
1 cup granulated sugar
½ cup coconut oil (you can also use sweet almond oil, olive oil, or sunflower oil)
25 drops lavender essential oil (or another relaxing oil like Peace & Calming!)
Optional: 1 tsp dried lavender buds
Simply mix in a bowl & fill mini sealable jars!
See below for a free printable label download!
I got these super cute jars and wooden spoons from Amazon! Putting them together with twine is such a nice touch when gifting.
Perfume
I love making perfume for a more personal gift to a good friend or family member. Find a gorgeous bottle from any number of small shops and add the below drops then fill with an unflavored vodka (my favorite carrier for perfumes).
Wanderlust - a heavenly, slightly musty perfume with a hint of woodsy-ness
7 drops grapefruit
10 drops orange
7 drops northern lights black spruce
7 drops pine
7 drops sandalwood
3 drops patchouli
Not into the woodsy scents? Try 16 drops clary sage + 8 drops cypress + 8 drops orange for a sweet, slightly musty perfume that is also wonderful!
Home Accents
Holiday Cheer Room & Linen Spray
In a 2 oz spray bottle:
8 drops Christmas Spirit
8 drops Vanilla

Perfect for a simple DIY gift and to have around the house when you need to freshen up at a moment’s notice! Spray your couch cushions and pillows before you have company over and when anyone sits down, they will get a whiff of festive goodness 🙌🏻✨
Fun fact: you can turn any diffuser blend into a room spray! Multiply the drops by 2 or 3 and top with unscented witch hazel and distilled water.

Gift your favorite clean & green all-purpose cleaner with some extra holiday cheer!
16 oz spray bottle, optional cute label added
1-2 capfuls of Thieves Household Cleaner
10 drops Christmas Spirit
Top with distilled water!
Themed, curated bundles
Relax bundle - muscle roller, sleep roller, reusable hot/cold compress
2020 has been a year & I think we all need this little bundle to help relax and ease tension. Gift it to someone who you think needs it! Even if you are a novice sewer, this DIY is quite simple.
Muscle roller - 15 drops panaway, 10 drops peppermint, 10 drops ginger, top with carrier oil
Sleep roller - 15 drops lavender, 15 drops stress away, top with carrier oil
Reusable hot/cold compress -
Cut two rectangles of fabric equal in size, 15 in x 6 in
Put the two pieces of fabric together so that they are even in shape, with the print side together.
Sew the two pieces of fabric together, around the edge of the rectangles (about half inch from the edges) but leaving about two inches open, unsewn.
In a bowl, add a few drops of essential oils to plain white rice and mix. I like to let the rice sit in a sealed container for a couple hours so it can soak up the oils. I suggest using lavender and peppermint but any relaxing oil will work!
Turn your sewn rectangle inside out (so that the exterior is now outwards).
Fill with rice into the opening, allowing some room for it to move around.
Fold the edges of the opening into each other, then sew shut.
You can hand-sew or use a sewing machine. I would also recommend using a flame resistant material or natural material like cotton.
This rice bag can be warmed up in the microwave or kept in the fridge/freezer for a cold compress! Heat at 20 second intervals, keeping an eye on the bag in the microwave.
Check out my blog post on how to make this DIY rice bag compress for more detailed instructions and photos.
I love a good basic roller label set and here is a great printable for almost any basic roller!
Beauty bundle - lash boost, green clay mask, glow serum, face toner
This bundle is so heavenly! You don’t even have to make all the items, any combination would be a wonderful gift bundle. I also think it’s great to add a crystal facial roller to this bundle for some true skin pampering. If you want to expand the bundle, also consider a facial brush or crystal sculpting tool.
Green clay mask - to nourish and deep clean your skin!
¼ cup green clay
Witch hazel and/or Apple Cider Vinegar - slowly add until it becomes a paste
Essential oils (6 drops total between all the oils you use)- I suggest using lavender, frankincense, & tea tree (2 drops each)
Small mason jar
A couple things I learned after using this mask:
1- I had some redness, as this mask definitely pulled off a layer of dead skin cells… it would be better to wet the dry mask before rubbing off with your wet washcloth. I just went straight to rubbing it off and that may have been a little rough on my skin.
2- I broke out with a couple tiny spots the next day, but the day after that my face was clear and soooo soft. It definitely dried out the breakouts I had coming in, too!
Green clay is antimicrobial, reduces inflammation, detoxifying, clarifying, gently exfoliates, and adds a dose of trace minerals to your skin.
Glow serum - to moisturize and support the health of your skin!
In a 15 ml dropper bottle:
4 drops each of Blue Tansy, Lavender, Copaiba, and Frankincense, plus 2 drops each of Manuka, Tea Tree, Lemon, and Geranium. Top with jojoba oil.
Optional additions: 2 drops each of Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood, Helichrysum, and Melrose
None of these oils are dependent on another so you can customize based on the oils you have! All of these oils are great for your skin so put together what you have. You can easily use Frankincense, Lavender, and Lemon straight from your starter kit! Just increase the drops and you have yourself a dreamy glow serum.
As a guideline:
Breakout prone skin- tea tree, copaiba, lemon, melrose
Anti-aging- frankincense, lavender, geranium, helichrysum, sandalwood
Dry skin- geranium, sandalwood
Oily skin- lavender, lemon
Healing- copaiba, manuka
Lash/Brow Boost - for some growth support!
Empty mascara tube (I got mine on amazon)
Castor oil
1-2 drops lavender essential oil
Facial Toner - to use after washing and before moisturizing!
In a 1 oz spray bottle:
10 drops of Blue Tansy
10 drops of Frankincense
10 drops of Copaiba
5 drops of Lavender
5 drops of Geranium
5 drops of Sacred Frankincense
Topped with unscented witch hazel
